Upcoming Races :: Previous Races :: 100+ Milers
I tend to have trouble saying, “No,” to fun running adventures and races. Just call me a chicken and my Marty McFly complex kicks in. However, I’m trying very hard not to over commit to too many races, as I’ve found that traveling around all the time really takes it out of me.
Loops, point-to-points, out-and-backs, flat, mountainous, fixed distance, timed events, grass roots, big to-dos — I think they all have their own challenges and offer different experiences. I don’t feel like every race I do must meet some specific set of criteria.
It’s very rare for me now to race without knowing a single person, but I remember a time when I felt like a newcomer. The ultra community is an unusual bunch where everyone is rooting for everyone else. We should all remember to welcome the newbies and subsequently corrupt them…muhaha.
